How to Build an Outdoor Theater

One of the best features ready to any outdoor living room is the expanding of a great entertainment system. You already have one in your living room so why not look for one that you can use face as well. There are a few tips to setting up just the right system. The first thing to think about is just what type of theory you would need. Are you looking for something thoroughly self-contained but rugged enough to survive the outdoors?

If so, then maybe an all weather stereo theory is for you. These are small, self-contained units that you can take to the pool or just leave outside. All you need is a power source.

One of the advantages to an all weather stereo theory is the controls are right at your fingertips; you can plug in your Mp3 player or pop in your favorite Cd.

The only disadvantage to this theory is it doesn't furnish the full rich surround sound that you would be provided with from a more interpret outdoor speaker system.

If you want something a diminutive bit fancier then what about outdoor speakers?
All weather outdoor speakers can be found in any size or shape. If you want something unobtrusive how about a speaker that looks like a rock? It can hide in the flowerbed and no one will be the wiser.

Setting this type of theory up is a snap. All you need to do is buy a wireless speaker kit for your regular home stereo.

Plug the wireless set into your home receiver.

Place the speakers face and plug them into an outdoor electrical socket. Ok so they aren't totally wireless, they still need power. At least you don't have to worry about running cabling from the stereo all the way out to the backyard.

One word of caution: be sure the outdoor outlet is protected by a ground fault interrupt. Ground fault interrupts have the "push to test" button on them. Any newer home will have one installed on outdoor outlets. If in doubt, consult an electrician.

Using wireless speakers is a great way to direct the sound exactly where you want it. Choose at least 2 locations spaced far enough apart from each together that you'll get the whole stereo effect.

Turn all on, walk face and make sure you've got great tunes flowing.

That's it no more to it than that. The next thing you know your favorite tunes are advent out of your Petunias.

More industrialized units come with added features such as a remote control. You'll be able to fast forward, rewind, and turn stations all from the comfort of your favorite lawn chair.
